This tool has been developed as part of the YESSS project to help measure the contribution of youth-led social entrepreneurship (SEE) projects to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Its primary goal is to support young entrepreneurs and youth workers by:
- Understand the values of Social Entrepreneurship
- Informing about the SDGs and their relevance to social entrepreneurship
- Helping users quickly assess their projects’ alignment with the SSE key elements and the SDGs
- Guiding them in deepening their contributions towards simple and yet cleat feedbacks
The tool is designed to complement existing resources, such as training, guides, and online platforms for youth workers, while also supporting young entrepreneurs in clarifying the links between their projects and SEE or SDGs values. It aims to spark local, regional, and European initiatives focused on Social Entrepreneurship and the Agenda 2030.
The self-assessment tool is based on an autonomous algorithm that evaluates projects based on a set of criteria developed by all project partners.
The tool can be used several times, according to which indicator of social entrepreneurship (SEe) projects to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) your project needs to receive feedback on!
Using the self-assessment tools is simple. You select the SDGs or a specific area of SSE that you would like to assess in relation to your project. The questions are general so that they can be applied to as many projects as possible. You can answer yes or no and submit your answers. As soon as you have submitted them, a score is displayed with details of the areas more or less impacted. It’s up to you to improve or add elements to your project if you want to have a positive impact on the element assessed.
